Uncommon Macular Holes and How to Treat Them

ABSTRACT

The video presents the inverted ILM flap technique for unusual macular holes: persistent macular holes lasting up to five years after successful vitrectomy for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, were treated with the inverted ILM flap technique. Nonproliferative and proliferative diabetic retinopathy cases with macular hole are presented. Myopic retinal detachment macular holes, traumatic macular holes, retinitis pigmentosa and Coats disease were also successfully treated using the technique.
