We report on a 38-year old woman with optic disc pit associated with inner retinal layer separation and outer layer detachment. The patient underwent an uneventful pars plana vitrectomy with temporal radial optic neurotomy. Good anatomical results were obtained.

Conclusion:

This surgical approach may be a valuable adjunct to the surgical management of optic disc pit associated with persistent inner retinal layer separation and outer layerdetachment.
