PPV in a Case with Endophthalmitis Complicated with Retinal and Choroidal Detachment

ABSTRACT

Acute endophthalmitis following intravitreal injections of anti-VEGF agents is an uncommon but potentially devastating complication. Twenty-three gauge PPV was performed in a case with endophthalmitis after intravitreal anti-VEGF injection complicated with nucleus drop, retinal and hemorrhagic choroidal detachment. Optic atrophy, retinal ischemia, perivascular sheating were revealed during vitrectomy.
