Purpose:

To investigate the outcomes in Usher Syndrome-associated macular edema treated with intravitreal dexamethasone implant.

Method:

4 patients treated with dexamethasone implant for macular edema in Usher Syndrome. Documented by ophthalmic evaluation, OCT and fundus photography.

Results:

Significant increase in visual acuity due to an improvement of macular edema in all cases.

Conclusions:

Intravitreal implant of dexamethasone may be an alternative treatment option for macular edema secondary to Usher Syndrome. Larger case series and longer follow-up are needed to determine dexamethason implant efficacy.
