MH Formation in a Patient with PVD

We present a case of a 53 year old male who had macular hole surgery in the left eye. The right eye of the patient had a normal macular examination with posterior vitreous detachment confirmed with Optical Coherence Tomography. During follow up we observed a macular hole formation. Our case is a good demonstration of macular hole formation occurred with the tangential forces in a patient with complete posterior vitreous detachment.
