ABSTRACT Vitreomacular traction (VMT) is pathological persistent adherence of cortex vitreus in macula region due to incomplete posterior vitreous detachment. With tractional forces in fovea resulting in structural changes in neuroretina and eventually decreased visual acuity. VMT may sometimes resolve spontaneously.
