Advantages:
Wide-angle fundus photography is the state of the art technique in evaluating pediatric retinal diseases and tumor conditions. The introduction of ultra wide field 200˚ fundus imaging and fluorescein angiography for adult fundus imaging is opening the window for diagnosis and management of many peripheral retinal conditions in retinal disorders and tumor conditions.
Methods:
Prospective evaluation of pediatric and adult retinal conditions using Retcam and Optos 200 Tx ultrawide field fundus imaging and fluorescein angiography.
Results:
Wide-angle fundus imaging showed an excellent correlation in establishing many posterior segment disorders with correlating peripheral retinal pathology. Furthermore, the added value of wide-angle viewing is crucial in tumor diagnosis, and follow up of therapy regarding regression or tumor activity.

Wide-angle fundus imaging represents a new era in retinal diseases and tumor management.
