This video reports an unusual finding in vitreoretinal surgery. A patient with a past history of IOFB, which was successfully removed, suffered a retinal detachment 6 years after the original procedure. In the meantime, the patient had the encircling band removed because of ocular discomfort and repeated inflammation. Examination of the retinal detachment disclosed fixed retinal folds and PVR was suspected but the surgery revealed a surprising finding.
