This report presents the effectiveness of 25-gauge Transconjunctival Sutureless Vitrectomy (TSV) for a high myopic foveoschisis

We performed pars plana vitrectomy with the 25-gauge TSV system in 6 patients (7 eyes) with external e/o internal myopic foveoschisis combined with premacular structure. The patient underwent vitrectomy following epiretinal membrane and ILM removal and fluid-air exchange

Effectiveness / Safety:

Foveal reattachment was achieved and best corrected visual acuity improved. The 25-gauge TSV is practical and safe for a variety of vitreoretinal procedures. Further study is recommended to evaluate this indication for 25-gauge vitrectomy
